The National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus presents the “Jan Komar. Photographer from Nyankovo” exhibition.
Ivan Ignatievich Komar is one of the oldest amateur photographers in Belarus. The perfect composition, frame sense, ability to choose the right moment - all that makes Ivan Komar’s photographs vivid and memorable, allowing to feel the special color of the Belarusian village in the 1950s and mid-1970s.
Today, more than two thousand of his photo-negatives are digitized by the Minsk photo artist, curator of the exhibition Albert Tsekhanovich. The brightest and most interesting shots were chosen for the anniversary exposition, which Albert Tsekhanovich printed manually from the author's photo-negatives on old 1980s photo paper.
The exposition works until March 1.
