On August 12, the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus will host the grand opening of the «Historical Reconstruction. Touch the past» exhibition.
All the armour presented at the exhibition is made according to historical models and is capable of fulfilling its function - to protect its owner. Accurately reproduced models of weapons, which allow tracing the development of European military affairs from the 14th to the end of the 17th centuries, will also become important aspects of the exposition. Museum visitors will see what the knights of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania looked like during the Battle of Grunwald; armour of the soldiers of Anastasia Slutskaya and the winged hussars of Stephen Bathory.
The presented exhibits were created by the reenactor Yuri Ustinovich and the blacksmith Dmitry Andreev.
